Responsibilities:
  • Configure, install, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using network monitoring tools.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
  • Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades, patch management, and backups.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of network architecture and topology.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement network infrastructure changes and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Level 1 support staff and end-users.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to network administration.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration roles.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, VPN, and MPLS.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, and Nagios.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are preferred.
