Sinopec Houston Tech is seeking a Senior Software Developer with expertise in reservoir characterization software development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions and creating virtualization tools on our internal platform to maximize Sinopec Tech's business value. Your contributions will be key to advancing innovative software for reservoir characterization applications, ensuring that our platform evolves to meet the dynamic needs of the business.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the development of software solutions and virtualization tools within our internal platform, driving Sinopec Tech's business value.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translating them into detailed software specifications and features.
- Design and implement efficient data management and communication protocols to support high[1]performance parallel processing and I/O operations, optimizing overall software performance. · Develop pre- and post-processing modules, along with intuitive GUIs, for geoscience applications to improve user experience and streamline workflows.
- Contribute to the development of data virtualization and display tools using C++, Qt5, and Python 3.0, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Perform comprehensive testing and validation to guarantee software reliability, accuracy, and performance.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Offer training and ongoing support to developers and end users.
- Extensive hands-on experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support.
- Proficient in GUI design and development with deep expertise in C/C++, Python 3.0+, and Qt5.
- Strong technical expertise in Windows or Linux development platforms, with advanced knowledge of multiple programming languages, including C/C++ and Python.
- Experience in developing reservoir characterization toolkits, including seismic data management, seismic inversion, well log data management, and rock physics analysis, is a significant plus.
- Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geophysics, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields from an accredited university.
- Must have a minimum 5+ years’ working experience in software development.
