Are you an experienced Industrial Engineer with a passion for optimizing warehousing and distribution operations? Join our client’s team as a Senior Industrial Engineer and lead transformative initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in their logistics operations! This is a full-time direct hire position with our client.Position: Senior Industrial Engineer (Warehousing and Distribution)Location: IndianaPay: $100,000-$132,000; +BonusBenefits: PTO, 401K + Match; Comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverageWhat you’ll do:
  • Lead the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives to optimize warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Conduct data analysis, time studies, and capacity planning to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement layout designs, material flow strategies, and inventory management systems to maximize space utilization and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Utilize engineering principles and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows and eliminate waste.
  • Evaluate technology solutions and automation opportunities to enhance productivity and accuracy in warehousing processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and operational staff.
What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field/experience.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in industrial engineering roles within warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and distribution center operations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and other software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Access, AutoCAD).
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvement projects using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
