My client in the Public Sector has an immediate vacancy for a Financial Accountant initially on a 12 month contract with potential and based in Dublin 2/hybrid.This is an exciting opportunity in the Core Finance Team and will report to the FC.Within this department the Core Finance team are responsible for overseeing all paymentsThe team is also responsible for the annual budgeting process, internal monthly reporting, forecasting and preparation of year end statutory accounts.Key tasks will include:· Review and maintenance of user access to core finance system and updating documentation in relation the access controls.· Management of key accounts, analysing costs ensuring these are in line with contracts and achieving value for money.· Management of core Debtors ledger including posting invoices, reconciliation with source data from out-sourced provider, tax compliance and credit control.· Analysis of key supplier accounts and cost centres that will feed into management review and decision making in these areas.· Review and sign off employee expenses including preparing and filing Revenue returns.· Co-ordination and submission of periodic regulatory reports to parent department· Assistance with annual Vat reports· Improving internal workflows and processes in place with other areas of corporate services and the wider organisation.· Preparation of ad hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.· Provide support to the Financial Controller in managing the day-to-day operation of the Finance DepartmentThe ideal candidate will be:· Fully qualified accountant with membership of an accountancy body (eg. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA)· Three years' post qualification experience.· Experience working as part of a core finance function in a relevant industry, including:· Proven evidence of providing financial analysis to support decision making.· Experience working with financial controls.· Experience managing accounting systems and controlsContact Natasha today for more info on 01 5005987
