Are you an Environmental Engineer with a bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience with compliance, waste management, and waste cost accounting looking to join a growing company?In this position, you will provide administrative and technical assistance and leadership to the Orange Site in implementing the regulatory requirements of TCEQ and EPA; provide expertise and regulatory guidance concerning the Wastewater Treatment Program, Solid Waste Management Program, Groundwater Monitoring Program, and Public Water System; provide support in matters of Air Compliance and permitting and the Orange Site's Process Safety and Risk Management Program.Duties include, but not limited to:
Direct all activities related to the wastewater treatment system to ensure it is properly permitted and meets all requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES).
Compile and complete required environmental and regulatory reports to prepare for audit and investigation.
Perform internal audits/inspections as directed and follow up on corrective actions (i.e., DMR monthly and Semi-annual, Groundwater reporting, Public Water System reporting, Annual Waste Summary, Toxic Release Inventory)
Direct operations of the Solid Waste Management Program for the Orange Site include collection, storage, classification, registration, and waste shipment. Completing all
Ensure all inspections/calibrations follow federal, state, and site requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Health and Safety, etc)
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
Must have a solid technical background, highly motivated, and possess good leadership traits.
Knowledge of Environmental regulatory requirements, including regulatory compliance, waste management, and waste cost accounting
Problem solving skills and ability to identify areas for improvement.
Good communication skills are essential to address a wide range of non-routine/ diverse problems.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
