Science Tutor: TeessideLocation: MiddlesbroughPay Rate: £20-35 an hour.Start Date: ImmediateApplication End Date: 13/05/2024Description:We are looking for an engaging and driven Science tutor to work 15 hours a week Monday to Friday. The role would be supporting a KS3 student with Science in the Teesside area.Duties:
  • Plan and deliver Science lessons to a KS3 student.
  • Understand and agree each learners starting point and skills development needs.
  • Deal with learner’s face to face in our academies in groups and also remotely as required.
  • Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times.
  • Ensure targets are met and that lessons are tailored to meet the students needs and learning level.
Essentia Criteria
  • Higher level degree in Science, or related field.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills - experience in training delivery
  • High standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to react to changing client/learner needs in fast paced environment.
  • Self-starter, resourceful, autonomous – must be comfortable working alone.
  • To give subject specialist Information, Advice, and Guidance to learners as part of teaching duties, including providing learners with advice on progression.
