The role requires positioning the best technology solutions tailored to customer needs while growing Analog Devices market share. This position also involves working with Sales, Business Units and Technology Groups to achieve design characterization, verification, evaluation and timely resolution of field issues. Candidate should have strong expertise in power topologies and analog design. This position will be based in the Bay Area, CA for local support with some travel.Role:
  • Team up with Sr. Field Applications and Technical Teams to provide technical field applications support to Strategic and Key Consumer and Automotive customers with system knowledge, drive technology discussions for specific power solution with a focus on design optimization and problem solving, forming deep customer relationships, and driving exemplary customer satisfaction.
  • Focus primarily on power products, support customer needs to yield optimal solutions at system level.
  • Direct interface with Business Units and Technology Groups to accomplish timely Design, Debug and Simulation works, Schematic review, PCB layout and validation reports, on-site troubleshooting, debug board and system level issues and help QA with field issues.
  • Work with Field support Teams in defining and developing new products to address future customer needs.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key Product Lines' Engineering, Marketing, and Application.
  • Local travel and some remote travel may be required.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Background and practical experience in power electronics required
  • Excellent hands-on lab skills and debugging power designs.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in power electronics related to Consumer, Mobile, Computing, Networking, and automotive semiconductor industry
  • Deep knowledge of power conversion topologies: Buck, Boost, Flyback, LDO and loop stability and dynamics for power systems.
  • Experience with CAD and simulation tools: LTspice, Simplis/Simetrix, Allegro
  • Familiarity with use of communication Bus: I2C, PMBUS
  • General system level knowledge, solid knowledge in hardware test/characterization and data interpretation, especially in Consumer-products, power tree design at the board/system level
  • Excellent skills in devising test reports, Ability to coach/teach/help others
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong multi-tasking ability and setting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and English speaking/writing skills
