- Data governance/data lineage project with focus on Rocket Software data application
- Looking for a mid-level resource with data lineage background
- Day to day role will focus on onboarding into Solidatus and/or Rocket
- 50% development from a lineage perspective and 50% analysis but this is NOT a traditional software development role
- Experience with Rocket Software is highly preferred but experience with Collibra or Informatica is also acceptable as secondary skills
- Any programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Mainframe is a big plus
The Technical Lead, Application Support Engineer will primarily lead the application support team to identify and execute the process and procedures to run the application support group and the over night operations team. This includes setting up the standard function/process that will be followed by the rest of the team to support the business users. The incumbent will be responsible for debugging, installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production systems. This position is a 7 x 24 hour support role in supporting the first line application support staff and the overnight operators. The main function of this position is to minimize interruptions and the risks to the firm from a system outage by coordinating the activities within the Application Support group and the MCM IT group to respond to issues. This person will function as 1st and 2nd level support on all vendor and in-house applications. Additional responsibilities include desktop support, system administration, and application development. BA/BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science. Experience in an application support role within the investment management business; along with programming experience in one or more of the following programming languages: Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Perl, C, Java, Shell. Must be well versed in the trading area, trade operations area, and general knowledge of the rest of the investment management business including: accounting, data warehousing, reporting, portfolio management, portfolio analytic tools. Hands on experience with the Windows operating system, Unix operating system, Windows file system, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc. )General knowledge of the databases used: Sybase, MS SQL server and the tools to monitor the databases.
