Health Service Corps, (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000 to
employees of NHSC-approved sites. You must be a US citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired, and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center is part of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. Orangeburg Area Mental Health Center/OAMHC provides mental health services to individuals in Orangeburg, Calhoun, Bamberg and Holly Hill Counties.1. Provide assessments and ongoing clinical treatment to families assigned to Intensive Family Services (IFS) based on the nine principles of Muti-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT).2. Provides case coordination to assigned caseload.3. Maintains liaison with personnel from other agencies/resources in order to facilitate treatment of assigned cases (including DJJ).4. Collect, organize and record data and information for each clients' medical record according to QA guidelines.5. Completes MDFT/IFS paperwork according to MDFT service requirements, i.e. treatment plan, participating in weekly MDFT group and phone consultation (as well as treatment team meetings as needed).The State minimum T & E: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
The Agency minimum: A master's degree in counseling, social work or psychology or other related areas with less than 1 year experience in a clinical field.Knowledge of normal and abnormal behavior adjustment techniques. Knowledge of clinical
practices and interviewing techniques. Knowledge of legal principals and practices. Knowledge of investigative techniques, principles and practices. Knowledge of methods, principles and practices of clinical counseling services. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws or regulations pertaining to a social service program. Ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying established objectives.
