This role is an integral part of the US Marketing team and will report to the Marketing Manager, US Marketing. The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing initiatives that will drive marketing strategies in the outpatient channel as well as leading marketing tactics for new product launches. The position will be based in Princeton, NJ and up to 30% domestic travel may be required.What You’ll Work OnOutpatient MarketingLead marketing plans and tactics to drive growth of the APOC portfolio across outpatient sites of care utilizing internal expertise (e.g. Marketing Manager and National Distribution Manager) and, as necessary, external agencies that complement internal capabilitiesGathers and synthesizes information on customers, competitors, and the market from a range of formal and informal sources; shares insights to shape and refine strategiesWorks closely with the sales team, listening to their feedback, clearly communicating marketing strategy, and ensuring access to the tools necessary to effectively engage with customersDrives brand-building actions through the APOC and distributor sales teams, ensuring brand positioning is brought to life consistently in interactions with customersLead marketing efforts for USOP meetings, conventions, and conferencesDevelop and provide input to training materials, presentations and participate in training activitiesSupport marketing communications, SOWs, and HCP interactions for the US Outpatient businessEnsure Abbott branding is utilized consistently and appropriately in interactions with customers across multiple channelsManage approval and renewal of print and digital collateral following existing A&P processesLiaise with cross-functional groups, including Global Strategic Marketing, distribution, and Global Learning & Development, to ensure that projects are kept on schedule and that project statuses are updated and communicated to project team members on a regular basisObserve all regulatory and compliance requirementsEffectively manage project expenses within established budgetsNew Product LaunchesLead the development of new product launch plans, providing analysis and insights to effectively bring new products to marketUtilize project management and collaboration skills to deliver against timelines, identifying potential risks as they ariseDirect training and resource creation to execute commercial launch plansTrack & report progress toward launch goals, adapting approaches where requiredEstablish launch excellence processes in the US commercial organizationRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree4+ years of work experience required in commercial roles (marketing, sales, customer service, account management, etc.)3+ years in a marketing roleExecution of commercial initiatives in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or medical devicesExperience working with U.S. Health Systems (Hospital and/or outpatient)Experience selling or marketing medical devices or diagnostics to outpatient facilities (e.g. urgent care, physician office lab, free-standing ED, ambulatory surgery center, etc.) through a distributor organization (e.g. McKesson, Henry Schein, Cardinal, etc.)Intellectual agility to adjust to shifting priorities and balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentAbility to develop, rationalize, and present strategiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong work ethic, self-motivation, and resourcefulnessPositive attitude, confidence, integrity and professionalismAbility to work in the Princeton, NJ officePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s and/or master’s degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or related technical disciplineMBA4+ years in the healthcare industry (medical devices and/or diagnostics preferred)Demonstrated track record of success in product launches, ideally in diagnostics or medical devicesExperience developing go-to-market strategies or product strategiesExperience developing & executing direct lead generation campaignsProven ability to work in a matrixed environment and influence cross-functional partnersStrong analytical and Excel skills, with knowledge of market analysis and financial modelsDeep understanding of the complexities of the diagnostics market and customer needsProject management experienceLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:
