The Banking Operations team oversees transactions processing, document processing, opening new business and reviewing documentation on existing accounts. Additionally, the successful candidate is responsible for the ongoing support to our internal clients.Major Duties:Day-to-day management responsibilities for a small team or sub team within Banking Operations.Supports the Regulatory, Legal support teams and front office.Conducts performance management and career development processes and staffing and disciplinary actions.Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.Possesses the leadership and organizational skills required to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.Provides training, conducts performance management and career development processes, handles staffing and disciplinary actions.Provides input and support to budget management process.Manages own workload/projects.Ensures sufficient cover of all tasks is maintained in the team, including identifying and training partners as necessary.Experience:A College or University degree and proven Banking Operations work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.In-depth Banking Knowledge is required.Analytical and problem-solving skills are required.Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set.Excellent influencing and negotiation skills are required in-depth Banking knowledge is required.Highly flexible and adaptable to change.Working with Us:As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
