- Provides leadership and supervision of nursing staff including assigning responsibilities and directives for resident care.
- Participates in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new staff members.
- Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions, as necessary.
- Prepares and assists with rounding of onsite healthcare providers and documentation.
- Assists with the admission of new residents.
- Assists with on-call rotation and shift coverage, as necessary.
- Conducts and documents training for education programs including safety, environmental, infection control, and quality assurance issues.
- Will conduct Infection Control duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Knowledge of principles of nursing and management processes.
- Knowledge of the medical diagnosis and treatment of patient care using nursing diagnosis.
- Knowledge of organization, planning, and team building.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public health nursing.
- Knowledge of human service management to include supervisory techniques, methods, and standards.
- Skilled in communication, organization, time management, and team building.
- Ability to assess and monitor residents' health needs and care.
- Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
- Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.
- Work evenings, nights and /or weekends when the situation requires it.
- Pass a background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, for every successful applicant.

- For our residents' health and protection, annual influenza vaccination is required, and annual testing for tuberculosis.
- Pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions (direct patient care positions are considered safety-sensitive). Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted in any position if reasonable suspicion exists.

- One year of service in the position must be completed. Failure to complete this requirement will require reimbursement of the bonus with the funds deducted from the final pay.
- Internal candidates will be required to remain in the position for a minimum of (1) year from the promotion date.
- Employees will only be eligible for (1) hiring bonus in a 12-month period.
