Overview: The Manager of Government Accounting Compliance will oversee the accounting and reporting of all government contracts and related costing activities, including audit functions, training, rate development ,and policy development, ensuring compliance with government accounting regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).Responsibilities:· Maintain a comprehensive understanding of government accounting regulations, policies, and procedures.· Ensure compliance with federal government accounting regulations, including the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) guidelines.· Develop indirect rates, incurred cost submission, and internal financial reports to compile accurate data.
  • Ensure timely submission of disclosure statements as required by government regulations.
· Prepare and review financial reports and statements to ensure in compliance with government accounting regulations, accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and assist with proposal development and provide training to business, proposal and finance teams on federal compliance requirements and the federal government proposal development process.
  • Work with Finance and IT teams to design and implement systems and internal controls to ensure compliance with federal requirements, and conduct periodic reviews of internal processes and controls to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for any federal government agencies or DCAA compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, contracts, project management, and company leadership to ensure compliance with government accounting regulations throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of managerial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of government accounting regulations, including FAR, CAS and DCAA.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and ERP systems.
