Serves as lead lifeguard and performs lifeguard duties. Overseas pool operations, maintains order and enforces established rules of safety and behavior. Inspects and sets up facilities for scheduled activities, i.e. open swim, swim lessons, water aerobics, scuba classes, pool parties, lap swim, etc. and ensures the facility is opened at the scheduled times with adequate staffing. Cleans and maintains swimming facilities and ensures hourly chemical checks are conducted and documented. Establishes and monitors work schedules and provides on the job training to new employees. Resolves routine complaints with minimal impact to the activity, and refers more complex or unique situations to the supervisor.   • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

  • This position requires practical knowledge of swimming activates, rules and procedures as well as pool safety and pool maintenance requirements.
