- Attend wound rounds alongside the wound MD
- Expertly assess to all open wounds, encompassing changing, cleansing, and dressing.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary admission paperwork and meticulously document residents' care.
- Offer unwavering support and guidance to residents and their families.
- Diligently monitor resident's wound status and ensure initiation of essential medication or treatments.
- Strictly adhere to our rigorous infection-control policies, ensuring the safety of both residents and our dedicated team.
- Guarantee the delivery of top-quality care by upholding our facility's outlined standards and care protocols.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
- Serves as designated associate responsible for monitoring Public Health Advisories from local, state, and federal agencies including the CDC
- Maintains a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices
- Performs work within the scope of his/her license
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Must be knowledgeable of Infection Prevention and Control practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in the post-acute care facility
