You will also thrive in a fast-paced work environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances, juggle competing priorities, and combine a sense of urgency with due care and attention to detail.Partner with the bestAs the Lead Specialist - Regulatory Compliance, you will be responsible for:Assessing legislative, regulatory, and political developments identifying potential impact on and opportunity for the businessWorking with leaders across the business to provide briefings on significant legislative, regulatory and political developmentsResearching and disseminating funding opportunities around the world, including reviewing terms and conditions to determine suitabilityMaintaining an internal funding website and databaseAttending relevant information sessions held by governments and universitiesPreparing briefs and progress reports, and presenting the results of your analysisMaintaining positive, proactive relationships with key internal stakeholders.Provide daily supervision for local team members, as well as advisement, guidance, or training, as requested by the leadership teamGiven the changing landscape of global ESG reporting regulations, this role may also include analytical support of the policies and the company’s readiness to comply with those activities, to meet ESG reporting requirements in various jurisdictions.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a bachelor’s degree in political science, government affairs, international studies, law, or related field.Have experience working with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. Sustainability, Legal, Engineering, Sales & Commercial) and managing relationships/customer service with complex stakeholdersHave experience working in the energy sector in government, public policy, trade association or government affairs rolesHave demonstrated flexibility and experience and willingness to learn and work on projectsBe able to advance multiple priorities in parallel and work independentlyHave strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skillsHave high attention to detailBe a team player with unquestionable integrityHave strong verbal and written communication abilities in English, and be highly able to articulate technical and scientific information in a clear and easy mannerBe a strategic thinker, able to think ahead and laterally about how to navigate your pathWorking with usOur people are at the heart of what we do at Baker Hughes.
