DescriptionWe have an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Software Engineer (SME) to provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. As a Software Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems, software, and cloud environments and provide operations and maintenance for critical systems. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support in the design, development, implementation and testing of customer tools and applications. Based in a DevOps framework, participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing.Primary Responsibilities:Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement, using Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate.Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and KatalonDevelop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologiesDevelop, prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform servicesCoordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use casesAnalyze (though proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needsSupport the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practicesUse industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scriptingDocument and Perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging GitFlow constructsCommunicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness.Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activitiesApply and identify best practices and standard operating proceduresCreate innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.Basic Qualifications:Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practicesExpert use and experience with Java, Spring and C2S.Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practicesExpert utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit/KatalonExpert with scripting languages, such as Python, BashExpert working in an Agile development environment and tempoExpert with development in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Expert with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS)Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Well versed with using version control systemsWell versed with using issue/problem tracking systems**Candidate must have a Master’s degree with 15 or more years of relevant experience.**Candidate must have active TS//SCI with PolygraphPreferred Qualifications:Experience with structured analysis and design methodologiesOriginal Posting Date: 2024-03-19While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range: Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
