- Assess the required scope of work and exploring various alternative solutions for required modifications.
- Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
- Fulfill the role of the system lead engineer for modifications.
- Ensure adequate systems integration and fulfill the role of plant systems subject matter experts
- Support changes to the Preventive maintenance and Surveillance Program
- Identify Critical Spare parts
- Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes.
- Prepare and/or support factory and plant startup testing
- Interface with Project Manager to ensure that Engineering deliverables meet the overall project goals.
- Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing and as-built verification.
- Comply with regulatory requirements including 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis.
- Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Design Engineering Manager.
- Assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Controls or related Engineering or related technical degree with 7-10 years of experience performing related Engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls system engineering.
- Availability for shift work during installation.
- Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Power uprate experience at a pressurized water reactor (PWR)
- Prior Design Engineering configuration control qualification
