Seating is at the center of the consumer vehicle experience and our seating solutions are developed from consumer research, prioritizing comfort, convenience and connectivity.About the RoleThe Environmental Health and Safety Specialist plans, develops and manages the health, safety, ergonomic and environmental functions within the division.Your Responsibilities!---In conjunction with the division management team, establishes annual health, safety and environmental annual objectives.Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, programs and databases related to health, safety, ergonomic and environmental practices and requirements.Ensures all federal, state and local safety and environmental laws/regulations and codes are compliant.Leads improvements in the division's safety and environmental performance through the use of audits, behavior-based safety, ergonomics and safety committee.Ensures all OSHA recordkeeping and ergonomic reporting requirements are met.Conducts Ergonomic Assessments to recommend and implement any needed modifications or solutions.Conducts job hazard analysis to reduce workplace incidents.Leads the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 system.Administers the division's workers' compensation program including but not limited to providing case management for injured employees between physicians, treatment visits and third-party administrator.Facilitates and tracks the resolution and timely response to action plans based on audit resultsDevelops, co. Administers first aid care to employees and performs First Responder duties during emergencies.Conducts and organizes safety training for the division in compliance with MIOSHA and Magna requirements.Performs industrial hygiene testing to include noise monitoring and dosimeter analysis.Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager in the administration of disciplinary action, when necessary.Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act. and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.Ensures all employees and visitors have a safe environment in that safety and housekeeping standards are maintained; and all hazards, unsafe actions, or unsafe conditions have been identified, corrected, and/or eliminated.Responds to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately.\Administers first aid care to employees and performs First Responder duties during emergencies.Who we are looking for
