You’ll thrive working under pressure to tight deadlines, be a team player and have strong social news-gathering skills. Understanding the power of storytelling on digital platforms is a must, as is the ability to optimise stories for search, social and video at speed.The Fashion Editor will consistently strive to find distinctive ways to cover fashion news, features and trends in line with Glamour’s editorial direction and tone of voice. You’ll have great industry relationships, extensive knowledge of brands, designers and trends and a sound understanding of how editorial and commercial intersect.This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious journalist who lives and breathes fashion to join a dynamic digital team at the heart of one of the world’s biggest titles.What will you be doing?Work closely with the Website Directors and Audience Development Manager to pitch, write and commission timely fashion content in line with trending topics.Consistently write three or more stories daily – from industry news hits to trend-led shopping stories and celebrity style pieces.Edit and provide SEO optimisation of digital fashion content submitted by the wider team and freelance writers.Work closely with the Senior European Commerce Editor to ensure all product-driven fashion content remains editorially-led with the right tone of voice.Develop fashion video franchises that will sit across our social media platforms.Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant PRs and commercial fashion clients - sourcing and securing exclusives from key fashion brands.Coordinate seasonal fashion week schedules, attend shows and write up trend reports.Represent the brand at all relevant external events.Who you are:Experience working in a digital editorial environment is a must.Proven track record of writing, commissioning and editing fashion stories to tight deadlines daily.In-depth knowledge and awareness of popular culture and an ability to identify emerging trends within the fashion space before they become mainstream.The ability to quickly adapt to working within a new CMS and previous experience writing great SEO content and engaging headlines.Experience pitching and creating video content.Knowledge of the Glamour brand and tone across our various digital platforms with a clear sense of what makes content engaging.An extensive range of senior-level contacts across the fashion industry.What benefits do we offer?25 days holiday and extra days of annual leave for if you get married, move house or want to volunteerHybrid working and core hoursCompetitive pension schemeBupa Private HealthcareCondé Nast Learning Hub where you’ll find you’ll find all Condé Nast-developed learning courses and trainings, and over 16,000+ courses in seven local languagesSeason ticket loansCycle to workEmployee Assistance programmeBring your dog to workA wide variety of wellness benefits including gym discountsDiscounts and Magazine SubscriptionsEmployee Resource Groups provide a platform for employees to identify shared objectives, exchange ideas, and work on community priorities for our global workforceWhat happens next?If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply below, and we will review your application as soon as possible.
