Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?SummaryThe Pratt & Whitney Canada organization is seeking to hire a A&P Mechanic (T3). This role is based out of our Burlington, VT site. As the Tech Support (A&P Mechanic), you will perform a variety of duties, including, but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment. You may conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications. You will manage technical products, services logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.The person in this role may also troubleshoot technical problems and issues, recommending actions to company or customer representatives while assessing product needs in accordance with customer specifications. You will proudly serve as local on-site RTX representative to the customer's organization, managing statements of work to meet customer and contract requirements.Additional Information:
  • There is up to 20% travel for this role.
  • Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree and 4+ years of mechanical assembly, troubleshooting and repair, or overhaul experience
  • Airframe & Powerplant Licenses
  • Must be a U.S. Person / Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management
  • Airframe & Powerplant License/Certificate
  • Prior PT6, PW300, PW500 and PW600 shop and field experience is a plus
  • Experience with troubleshooting, overhaul, repair and return to service of powerplants or engines, modules and components
  • Experience with the inspection of engine parts and components
  • Heavy hangar/FBO/field experience - rigging, R&I, MRP's, aircraft interface

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
