We are 19,000 devoted experts in infrastructure, industry, energy and digitalization, creating sustainable solutions for generations to come.Making FutureJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Chief Process Engineer to work together with our chemicals and biorefining process engineering team and to be responsible for leading process engineering roles in client investment projects. Preferred background for this task is oil & gas, petrochemicals or biofuels.Work tasks for Chief Process Engineer include :

Leading the process engineering organisation in client investment projects
Process engineering for smaller execution- and basic-engineering-phase projects as well as early-phase investment studies

Process engineering advisory roles in client projects
Participation in internal development projects
Training and mentoring developing process engineers

Process engineers in AFRY's Technology and Smart solutions unit work in various tasks in customer projects within pulp and paper, chemicals and biorefining and mining and metals sectors. Main part of our work is demanding process engineering in different customer projects spanning from concept design to detail engineering and commissioning. We are a technology-independent engineering company and therefore involved in various new technology and business development projects where novel process concepts are adapted, scaled-up and designed and built to full-capacity industrial installations. Our ambition is to be our clients' first choice in industrial digitalization and sustainability and a one-stop shop for industrial investment projects.Preferred location for our new Chief Process Engineer is Vantaa, Finland but working at AFRY's other offices in Finland is also possible.QualificationsIn order to succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar
Minimum 10 years of experience in process engineering tasks
Experience of basic and detail engineering projects preferably in oil & gas industry
Leadership skills with ability to work in cross-functional and multinational teams
Good communication skills and an excellent command of English
Flexible working attitude and resilience
Willingness to travel
