Company Overview: My client is a dynamic engineering consulting firm specializing in transportation planning, design, and analysis. They are seeking a talented and motivated Traffic Engineer with either an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our growing team.Position Overview: The Traffic Engineer will play a key role in supporting the planning, design, and implementation of transportation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a wide range of projects, from traffic impact studies and signal design to transportation planning and roadway design. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in traffic engineering principles and methodologies, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct traffic impact studies, traffic signal design, and transportation planning analyses.
  • Perform traffic capacity and operational analyses using industry-standard software such as Synchro, HCS, and more.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signs, and pavement markings.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including transportation planners, civil engineers, and environmental specialists, to develop integrated solutions to transportation challenges.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license required within
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in traffic engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Synchro and Microstation required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
