- Contributing to the development of the company's strategic plan, including identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- To identify, attract and onboard new business development ventures.
- To secure funding for various projects.
- Looking at ways to attract Investors.
- Ensuring the day-to-day operations, are effectively and efficiently coordinated, implemented and conducted by the subsidiaries, within the framework agreed to by the Board.
- Accountable for the complete and effective financial management.
- Effectively manage and control funding and investments.
- Budget management.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, drafting corporate governance policies, advising the board on governance matters, and facilitating board meetings.
- Monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance with legal requirements, and advising management on legal matters.
- Providing administrative support to the board of directors, preparing board meeting agendas and minutes and facilitating communication between the board and management.
- Identifying potential risks to the company and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as implementing internal controls and insurance policies.
- Overseeing financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and liaising with auditors.
- Developing and implementing company policies and procedures, including those related to ethics, diversity and sustainability.
- Providing guidance and leadership to the subsidiaries ensuring affective management of performance and fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Bachelors Degree in Business / Commerce / Law / Finance NQF7.
- Honours NQF8 / Masters NQF9 Degree in Business / Commerce / Law / Finance will be advantageous.
- Five (5) years Senior Management level experience in an organisation of similar size and nature including areas of Operations and Corporate Governance.
- Experience in Financial management; Corporate governance; New business development; Stakeholder management; Project management; Managing subsidiaries; Developing and implementing strategies.
- Exposure to industries in mining, fishing, tourism and/or investments is ideal.
