Order appropriate diagnostic tests. Prescribe and perform appropriate interventional procedures to diagnose and treat pain. Prescribe medications and physical therapy. Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients’ families concerning treatment and care of patients. Provide on-call coverage on an equal rotation basis with practice peers. Refer those cases that require specialist services while maintaining responsibility to assure that continuity of care is provided.
