Position Summary: Provides under supervision, professional nursing care for assigned patients in assigned areas according to established standards and practices.Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: Post High School vocational; specialized training Preferred Experience: Clinical experience as obtained through LPN program Required License Registration/Certifications: Current WV LPN License ACLS required within one year of employment Other Trainings Encouraged: Determined by units plan for providing patient care CPR BTLS TNCC NRP Basic EKG monitoring Physical Demands: Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients Lifts supplies/equipment Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to the risk of Bloodborne diseases Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness) Subject to varying and unpredictable situations Handles emergency or crisis situations May perform emergency care Subjected to irregular hours Pressure due to multiple calls and inquires
