We have an exciting opportunity awaiting someone like you!Job DescriptionThe Sr. Petroleum Engineer is primarily responsible for complex evaluations of oil and gas producing properties along with gas processing facilities; determines their present worth value, loan value and loan repayment capacity; relates the results of the appraisals to the Account Managers in order to determine collateral value for each. Provides supervision and guidance of Engineering Department personnel.Team CultureYou will work in a fast-paced, challenging, and exciting environment.   • You will perform complex analysis of individual well historical performance and processing facilities using petroleum economics software (PHDWin 3.0 or Aries).
  • You will prepare engineering data for input into computer systems to run an economic analysis of oil/gas properties and processing systems.
  • You will calculate loan value, the half-life of properties, and other required loan data.
  • You will review outside engineering reports and company product sales, income and expense reports.
  • You will utilize and maintain commercial online databases (IHS) and software applications used primarily by the engineering department.
  • You will perform independent research and studies relating to oil and gas prices and reserve trends.
Education & Experience RequirementsThe required level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering and 10+ years' experience in oil and gas industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: PE Certification.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of oil and gas production and terminology,
  • Extensive knowledge of oil and gas economics
  • Extensive knowledge of petroleum economics software analysis (i.e. PHDWin 3.0 preferred and Aries)
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial on-line data bases (i.e. IHS)
  • General knowledge of commercial loan operations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to meet with clients, prepare written reports, and generate presentations, as needed
  • Excellent PC skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications and databases
