DescriptionThe City of Oregon City is seeking to establish a hiring list of qualified candidates that can fill the position of temporary/seasonal Parks and Cemetery Maintenance Specialist with the Parks and Cemetery Division.This recruitment will remain open until filled; however, may close at any time.This is a non-union position with no benefits.$18.00 per hour for new hires
$19.00 per hour for returning seasonal employees
$20.00 per hour for those that hold a valid CDLTemporary/Seasonal positions can last up to 6 months. Work hours vary and may include weekends.Examples of DutiesDuties will include the successful candidate to be able to perform a variety of skilled and general labor tasks in connection with field mowing, detention facility maintenance, roadside vegetation control, grounds maintenance, pressure washing, truck driving and limited equipment operation. Also performs a variety of work involving grounds and landscape maintenance of public access grounds, gardens and sports/play fields.Typical QualificationsRequires employees to maintain safe working environments, communicate courteously and cooperatively with other staff and the general public and work with a team or individual situation with minimum supervision. Must have a clean driving record.Supplemental InformationProcess will consist of screening applicants based on experience and training.
