They operate nearly 100 locations throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island, providing full scope primary care, with specialty centers for gastroenterology, cardiology, physiatry, oncology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, and more.POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new GI endoscopist specialist will provide outpatient care to patients within the scope of their specialty and training.The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:- diagnosing and treating acute illnesses in the field of gastroenterology
- diagnosing and treating chronic diseases and conditions in the field of gastroenterology
- performing endoscopies to diagnose GI disorders
- prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care
- explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
- monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments when necessary
- providing health and wellness advice to patients
- referring patients to other medical specialists as needed
- preparing official health documents and records as needed
- participating in group activities such as provider meetings and training sessionsPhysicians are fully supported by trained clinical and administrative team members.The practice uses the MDLand EHR.REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
