- Ensure the overall accuracy of employee data and maintain close relationships with HR to assist with payroll inquiries.
- Independently schedule, prepare, open, balance, audit, close, and finalize all payroll cycles.
- Process and peer audit employee payroll data, payments, and hours.
- Verify and reconcile wages and hours.
- Calculate timecards and corrections and audit off-cycle manual checks.
- Work with managers to verify timecards have been approved before deadline.
- Process termination checks and special payroll as needed.
- Perform administration functions including filing, report generation, record-keeping, and communication.
- Work in day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, sales tax, general ledger maintenance, and month close responsibilities.
- Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Assist in financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in yearly and trimester planning.
- Conduct Job Costing analysis to support cost control and budgeting efforts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide recommendations to optimize financial resources.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience processing payroll in a similar role.
- 3 years of experience with QuickBooks payroll system preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Strong Excel skills required for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- High-level understanding of payroll systems and their interfaces.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
- Experience with Rock Gym Pro and iSolved payroll systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of leave management processes and terminations in compliance with state laws.
- Previous experience in auditing payroll data and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, meet tough deadlines, and work independently under pressure.

- Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive payroll information.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization.
