- Inspection and record-keeping
- Assist with nonconforming parts (documents, pictures, staging of parts, and scrapping them)
- Teach other departments to audit each other, audit by an "outsider."
- Maintain Plating and Fabricating limit sample books- Quality Alerts (controlled).
- Facilitate communication with operators, increase their involvement in the quality process.
- Monitor and complete QCR and FPA signoffs.
- Write and update work instructions.
- Investigate and facilitate Root Cause/Corrective Action and track metrics on them.
- Sample shipment and tracking.
- Create and maintain rework instructions for all types done in general.
- Maintain 5S for Kitting Area.
- Post complaint records where all operators can be aware.
- MOC system documentation.
- Update boards with metrics (with Quality Technician).
- Poke Yoke where applicable across departments.
- AWS Part programs (Boschert, Part Mark).
- Program big runners (quick measure).
- Support creating and maintaining Plating-Gwd Training Manuals.
- Reduce the cost of Quality Project ("big hitters").
- Train and assist with weights for Amazon, when necessary.
- Remove parts, bars, and count when weights are not in tolerance.
- Review procedures, update or archive obsolete procedures.
- Package RMA's, transport to shipping, and complete all documentation, >30lbs per box.
- Must be able to lift boxes of parts 30lbs-90lbs periodically throughout the shift.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of manufacturing establishments and adjacent buildings and grounds.
- Follow established safety procedures and immediately report any unsafe conditions or operations.
- Additional job duties may be assigned based on the need of the department.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Ability to work on-call duty (24/7), on a rolling weekly basis, typically once a month, with additional pay incentives.
- Capable of managing small and/or ongoing projects while handling routine and emergency maintenance duties.
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Experience working with 120/480v controls and motors.
- Good written and spoken communication skills; and the ability to read and understand electrical manuals.
- Strong analytical background.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, a wide variety of tools and equipment.
- Must maintain forklift operator certification.
- Computer skills: including Microsoft Office, CMMS knowledge or ability to learn company specific systems.
