- Financial reporting including reports on Treasury Operations activities and Financial analysis of multiple Treasury projects and proposals
- Prepare and maintain audit related schedules for distribution to internal and external auditors
- Day-to day Cash Management and Banking for Moneris Corporation. This includes reconcile and monitor daily corporate cash position, implement liquidity transactions with financial institutions and daily banking transactions (wires, deposits, stop payments, inter account transfers, etc.)
- Conduct historical trending to anticipate daily cash requirements to improve cash balances
- Provide recommendations for daily borrowing, investment and foreign exchange requirements
- Prepare and update Moneris’ daily, monthly, and annual cash flow forecasts & associated cash reports
- Collaborate with business and cash management banks on daily banking issues.
- Support the development, enhancement and maintenance of the cash flow forecast model.
- Responsible for Corporate Finance activities including, preparing letter of credit and its administration and analysis/ preparation of loan compliance requirements including interest schedules.
- Help with Financial Risk Management including identification and forecasting of financial risk exposures, researching different investment options to achieve higher returns, perform quarterly analysis of the competitive marketplace, administration of the corporate insurance program
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/ Finance/ Accounting or a related field of study
- Professional designation (CFA/CTP/CPA) is considered an asset
- Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution
- 2+ years of experience in treasury/cash management including experience of Treasury Money Market and foreign exchange products
- Knowledge of both Canadian and US treasury products (including payment systems) is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Advanced MS Excel skills (vlookups, Index matching, pivot tables, other formulas, and working with large datasets)
- Bloomberg experience considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at different levels across the organization and external partner organizations.
- Apply critical thinking to business issues and communicate in a constructive manner
- Proven ability to meet firm deadlines without compromising accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with corporate insurance administration is considered an asset
