This includes but is not limited to production efficiency, quality, regulatory compliance, physical asset management, supply chain effectiveness, cost control, workplace safety, security and health and ensuring a good community partnership. This position is responsible for maintaining strong team member relations and supporting development opportunities.The Complex Manager is responsible for maintaining a work environment which reflects a commitment to protecting the health and safety of our team members’ safety and our product quality and safety. Responsible for positively impacting the culture by modeling leadership excellence with consistency, direct feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.Job Responsibilities
  • Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations on a Further Processing and Ready To Eat facility to exceed our customers’ expectations.
  • Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes.
  • Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
  • Share a trusting relationship with the leadership team to recruit, manage and develop plant staff with Human Resources to ensure staffing fulfillment rate is at minimum 95%.
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime through GAP analysis using a 5 why approach to ensure waste is eliminated.
  • Commit to plant safety procedures, monitor, audit, lead and drive preventive measures to eliminate risk.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
  • Address employees’ issues or grievances to ensure a ONE TEAM environment.
  • Manage overall plant maintenance budget including parts room inventory, obsolete, not moving inventory, asset transfers, rebuilds.
  • Build, manage and drive a yearly budget based on current spending with a cost reduction mentality.
  • Manage a PSM program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Plant/Operational experience at a Director or Manager level at a minimum of 7 years.
  • Proven food manufacturing managerial experience with ready to eat and fabrication experience is necessary.
  • Experience leading a large cross functional team (up to 5 direct reports).
  • Strong financial business acumen to act upon yield, productivity, labor standards and other product efficiency reports and managing budgets.
  • Proven and can demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong OSHA knowledge.
  • Proven knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example through 3P: People - Process - Profit
  • Strong team building, agile and decision-making and people management skills.
  • Drive continual improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead a team of resourceful and skilled team members.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Coaching and performance management experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including root cause analysis.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
