POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests' vehicles and providing superior guest service. Ensure proper handling of keys, logging in of guest vehicle information, assist with luggage, and provide local transport of guests.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with STRC standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and badge when working.
  • Comply at all times with STRC standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Greet guests in a pleasant manner.
  • Maintain the safety of every guest vehicle driven.
  • Assist in the efficient delivery of guest vehicles.
  • Assist in securing all guest keys.
  • Help to direct and control traffic flow.
  • Assist in arranging for guest transportation using other forms of transportation (e.g. ride share)
  • Assist guests needing wheelchair transportation.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation and reports of department activities and status including claim checks vehicle damage statements/billing and conditions that need repair.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all work sites.
  • Assist in all dispatch duties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Help to answer guest's questions regarding STRC property, events, and promotions.
  • Assist hotel guests with their valet retrieval process.
  • Correctly and efficiently enter guest vehicle information and location in the manner established by STRC, e.g., computerized valet parking system.
  • Place the arrival tickets correctly.
  • Monitor and document guest traffic flow in the valet lot.
  • Assist in the speedy service of guests exiting valet.
  • Maintain list of local transportation guides churches, sports arenas etc.
  • Provide information and directions as required.
  • Obey all traffic laws on/off property.
  • Assist with maintaining neat and clean curbside and keep free of debris and clutter.
  • Assist with operation needs such as unloading and loading of luggage.
  • Assists with securing public spaces guest corridors and secured parking areas (as applicable).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
  • Excellent Driving Record. Must meet STRC driver's insurance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong understanding of proper etiquette and interactions.
  • Demonstrate excellent listening skills to ensure meeting guests' needs. Interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license; Must provide a recent copy of driving abstract from DMV at the time of hire and anytime afterward at management discretion.
  • Previous hotel or casino valet experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to safely operate vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Demonstrate good visual and auditory acuity and be able to drive in adverse weather.
  • Ability to clearly understand and provide verbal and written instructions and prepare reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest service skills
  • Schedule flexibility must be willing and able to work all shifts, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work effectively in extreme temperatures.
REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, each team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
  • Employment is contingent on receiving and maintaining adequate licensing, including any required gaming license.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Casino.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Casino.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not encouraged or permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco products.
  • Refer to the Internal Control System and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Take the appropriate steps to report exceptions, fraud, acts of wrongdoing, and potential violations of regulations or internal controls to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Uphold high standards of ethical behavior and uphold a high level of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the impacts of problem gambling and have knowledge of the Casino's programs to address problem gambling.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Must be able to:
  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external guests and contacts.
  • Frequently stand and run for long periods of time; use hands to finger; handle; feel; reach, grasp, stand, and walk while cleaning the exterior and interior of the vehicles; grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. Lift, move, push or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust to focus.
  • Work in a fast-paced, time-demanding, and busy environment.
  • Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time to time be exposed to noise from slot machines, guests, music, and public announcement systems, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.
