Through DoD SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes, Sierra Nevada Corporation provides internships to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These internships include up to six months of on-the-job training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.As a Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible to conduct proposal preparation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned programs with our partners and customers. You'll be using your skills and expertise in supporting contract negotiations to ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You would support someone with a Contracts Warrant.You'll be part of a team dedicated to supporting the ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area.   • Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field and typically 0 - 2 years or more of related work experience.
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Good communication skills and relationship-building skills
  • Beginner-level knowledge of the FAR and DFARS
Preferred:
  • Experience as a Contracting Specialist
  • Experience as a Legal Support role
