This is a varied and rewarding role for an energetic and savvy media and communications professional. You'll work closely with multiple stakeholders including media, ANZ Executives and Subject Matter Experts across the business to manage external communications and media relations. Other responsibilities include:Manage day to day media queries, plan, manage and deliver both media and PR activity to support and amplify a range of projects and campaigns.Pitch stories and content to media outlets across a wide range of issues.Provide support to the Corporate Affairs function and wider business, ensuring we remain updated on relevant issues.Work with the Head of External Communications to identify issues and opportunities nd work with relevant stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks.Monitor, analyse and assess media coverage, commentary, and public sentiment.Role Location: AucklandRole Type: 10 Month Secondment/Fixed Term Contract, FulltimeŌu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Experience in external communications and media relations. Skilled in verbal and written communications, able to craft messages that are clear and succinct to suit a wide range of stakeholders.Ability to work quickly and accurately. We work in a fast-paced environment, you'll need to prioritise workload, and happy to work alone on projects as well as collaborate with the wider team.Confident and able to establish strong relationships across the bank.Be a source of ideas, energy, and inspiration. Support corporate affairs team by contributing ideas, solutions, approaches, and content.Strong background in communications, with experience working in a complex corporate environment.Excellent track record working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including media, agency partners, executives, and subject matter experts.Experience working in banking or financial services would be highly beneficial.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
