To learn more about our initiatives to support more inclusive and diverse communities, visit Knoll.com/Community.POSITION PROFILELead the identification, prioritization, and implementation of continuous improvement projects in our seating manufacturing assembly area.Develop sustainable improvements through engagement of the team utilizing servant leadership, technical knowledge, and continuous improvement tools to improve quality, productivity, and safety.Utilize lean concepts including standardized work, problem solving methodologies, material handling and planning, and kaizen activities.Implement engineering change notices and work closely with quality and product development to implement customer requests and new product lines.Develop lean manufacturing strategies and deploy into the work cells including but not limited to Standardized Work, Kaizen, Problem-Solving, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process Flow, Heijunka, Jidoka, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.Conduct quality reviews of scrap parts, process failures, and customer claimsDocument design changes and ensure all parts and drawings are released and maintained according to the Bill of MaterialsInitiate and implement process related improvements on production lineSupport program financial targets and cost reduction initiatives by providing Manufacturing Engineering support during product launch and post-launch phasesResponsible for leading the implementation of process improvements and changes that ensure safety, improve product quality and reduce costProvide technical and advisory support for Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development and develop processes to maximize production throughputParticipate in Design for Manufacturability processes for new and existing productsWork with product development, quality, and manufacturing to implement engineering change noticesREQUIRED SKILLSMechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineer Degree or equivalentKnowledge of assembly processes, semi-automated and automated cells will be a plusAdvance skill in MS Office including: MS Excel, Words, Outlook, Projects and PowerPointREQUIRED EXPERIENCEAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and translate collected information into actionable solutionsAbility to manage, prioritize and balance multiple projectsWho We Hire?Simply put, we hire everyone.
