As a leading, nationwide home care organization serving seniors in over 150 locations, Cornerstone remains committed to providing the highest quality of care to those that cared for us.Job Description: As a Bookkeeper, you will join an established team to manage your own set of location financials. On a daily basis, you will record all financial transactions, including cash payments, into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate. You will also be responsible for maintaining all financial records, processing payroll, billing/invoicing to clients, and managing an open line of communication with the operating director for the locations in which you are assigned to. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of experience as a professional bookkeeper and has experience managing large bank accounts.Job Responsibilities and Reporting Structure:
  • Process company payroll and weekly invoices as a primary role in this position
  • Review financial transactions for accuracy and input transactions into the correct ledger
  • Reconcile bank and other accounts
  • Pay vendors as they come due
  • Work through aged accounts receivables
  • Wage garnishments, adjustments, etc
  • Mileage billouts and send payments to bank
  • Handling journal entries, reviewing payroll notes, 941, unemployments
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, degree in relevant field preferred
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office
  • Payroll experience to include processing payroll, weekly invoices, bimonthly billing, month end reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and billing/invoicing to clients
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to clear required background check
