Responsibilities:
- Ensure the maintenance and reliability of the Company Marine Units hulls, pump/engine room structures, and outboard openings through cost-effective investment and maintenance strategies, considering site-specific and contract conditions.
- Establish and update a comprehensive hull maintenance database, coordinating structural inputs as needed.
- Work with classification societies to enhance hull maintenance databases, identifying corrosion trends and recurring damages.
- Develop and implement a 5-year inspection plan, monitoring its progress and status.
- Maintain records of hull compartment preservation methods, analyzing their efficiency.
- Create inspection specifications and liaise with classification societies for approval.
- Prepare and follow up on repair specifications, keeping a register of standard repair procedures, including temporary solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and classification societies to align and optimize inspection and repair specifications.
- Oversee hull compartment inspections with vendors, including mobilization, progress reviews, reporting, and addressing technical queries.
- Assist in preparing responses to offshore queries related to hull structures.
- Support technical decisions regarding hull structure.
- Travel to offshore units as required.
- Degree in Naval Engineering/Architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hull inspection and repair specification.
- Familiarity with statutory requirements (Marpol, Solas) and Classification Society requirements for FPSOs.
- Knowledge of oil tanker construction is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.).
- Fluent in English; Portuguese proficiency is desirable.
- Willingness to obtain BOSIET certification and travel to offshore FPSOs, which is mandatory during the probation period.
