- Prepare planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projects.
- Perform field reviews and analysis of project sites and study areas and prepare written documentation of observations and conditions
- Work under the supervision of a licensed landscape architect, project manager or senior-level team member.
- Potential for domestic travel.
- A strong focus on studio relationships is an important aspect of our studio and the candidate should be confident, friendly, and willing to work with all staff levels, from entry-level to principal, as well as with other design and technical disciplines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or other related field from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited university program.
- Due to the nature of work, US citizenship is required.
- Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or other related field from a Landscape Architecture Accreditation Board (LAAB) accredited university program.
- Experience in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) 2019 or above, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- A positive attitude and desire to partner with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience with design and drafting software including but not limited to Lumion, InDesign, SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino. Proficiency in other software is advantageous, such as Bluebeam Revu.
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Professional Certifications: Membership in a Professional Association in the USA (ASLA, CLARB, ULI).
- A good knowledge of the design process, conceptual thinking, and detailed design/construction document knowledge; well organized' and attention to scheduling requirements.
- Knowledge of construction materials and techniques, including detailing.
- Ability to plan and organize multiple projects and effectively work with other Landscape Architects, Engineers, Designers, and Technicians.
- Effective time management is an inherent trait expected of all candidates.
- Understand Quality Control coordination and practice structure and be able to comply with company standards.
- Ability to maintain regular office hours and participate in company functions where appropriate.
