ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be challenged to do:TranSystems is hiring for a Senior Business Development Coordinator in our Baltimore office. The purpose of this position is to collaborate, organize, and manage the development and production of proposal deliverables. Work being performed includes qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other forms of collateral and communication tools.
  • Manage the response process for Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Sources Sought Notices, and associated presentations, including kickoff meetings to define expectations, identify tasks, assign responsibilities, and create a proposal schedule.
  • Attends pre-proposal conferences/debriefings.
  • Develop strategic win themes and implement effective strategies to ensure alignment with client requirements and values.
  • Follow up on past deadlines with clients and prime contractors to determine the status of submissions.
  • Routinely interact and partner with top executives, project management staff, and business development directors on a broad range of requests.
  • Evaluate technical content and write/edit proposal sections accordingly.
  • Update and maintain project opportunities in pipeline, project descriptions, contacts, and clients in Deltek Vision database
  • Partner with marketing peers to share information and assist colleagues in meeting deadlines.
  • May perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QualificationsWhat you bring to our firm:
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, English, Journalism or other field of study.Relevant experience and industry certification may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.
  • 8+ years of professional experience working in a similar fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, preparing SF 255, SF 330, and custom letters of interest; experience in A/E/C industry is highly desired
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Well-spoken with excellent written communication skills and an attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple deadlines and assignments.
  • Self-starter who is receptive to taking direction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, and Deltek Vision; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is highly desired
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license

Work Environment:Work is performed in all areas of the office, primarily indoors, but at times may attend events outside the office designed to stimulate new business. Work environment is well-lit, clean, and suitable to the tasks performed by the employee.Physical and Cognitive Requirements to Perform the Essential Job Functions:
  • Able to lift and carry objects up to 20 lbs.
  • Perform simple motor skills such as standing, walking, sitting, etc. Able to perform simple manipulative and fine motor skills such as writing and recording, etc.
  • Able to remember simple and multiple tasks and assignments given to self/others, ranging from short to long periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and in speech
  • Must have adequate hearing to receive verbal instructions and answer telephone calls
  • Must be able to set up equipment, materials and supplies related to marketing department
  • Must have the emotional stability to deal effectively with stress created organizational changes, departmental responsibilities, and working cooperatively with members of the firm
  • Must have the cognitive ability to constantly understand theories behind several related concepts, comprehend, remember, and follow multiple tasks/directions over long periods of time.
