Overview: Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Architect to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will individual will work with internal team members to ensure the systems are functional, secure, and scalable. The systems and networks developed will be used to collect and process data and improve the customer’s security infrastructure.Clearance Requirements: An active Secret clearance is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.Responsibilities:
  • Develop security architecture, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Lead security incident response efforts, including investigation, analysis, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Develop security architecture, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Responsible for cyber threat identification, evaluation, prioritization, controls implementation and remediation activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis to identify potential security threats and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in incident response planning and the actual handling of security breaches or interruptions. Develop protocols for emergency situations to minimize damage and resume operations as quickly as possible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into the design and development of new systems and applications.
  • Continuously review and propose changes to systems, networks, and software designs.
  • Analyzing logging and alerting data, identifying, and escalating potential security events
  • Partner with business user to support the intergradation of cybersecurity protection into business operations.
  • Act as the key member of the incident response team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Experience with data security administration principles, methods and techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, particularly Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Familiarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Certifications: CISSP, RHCSA, RHCE, MCTS, MCSA, CISM
