- This role will be a standard 1st shift role
- 8 hour shift
- Some weekends & holiday work required
- Maintain and operate the Boiler systems, including deaerator tanks, steam and condensate lines, traps, pumps, valves, etc.
- Maintain and operate other systems, including safety valves, water softener, etc.
- Collect and analyze samples, including: water, gas, air
- Maintain the facility grounds, building, structure, including HVAC, lights, electrical,
- Monitor the steam plant process from the main North East plant by viewing and understanding the displays.
- Perform scheduled Work Orders, Preventive and Predictive maintenance procedures at both the North East manufacturing and steam generating facilities
- Maintain & order parts, supplies
- Receive and process paperwork/bill of lading, as well as invoices
- Document all necessary information utilizing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Collect and prepare information and data for regulatory reports, including: boiler air permit, OSHA, Environmental and Fees & licenses
- Perform audits and inspections
- Handling of chemicals safely & responsibly
- Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned
- An Associate's degree, Stationary Engineering License, or EIT (Engineer In Training) certified training in boiler operations, electrical, plumbing, welding, and/or machining
- 3+ years of Boiler/HVAC experience required, preferably as a Boiler Operator, Utilities Mechanic / Technician, or Maintenance Mechanic / Technician
- A high degree of accuracy and organizational skills is required
- Mechanical and electrical aptitudes are required along with a working knowledge of production processes and equipment.
- The employee must be proficient with general office computer programs, i.e. Word, Excel
- Knowledgeable of Electrical, A/B - Modicon, processors, Logic controls, gauges, sensors, etc.
- Familiarity with predictive and reliability based maintenance practices is required.
- Requires the ability to work weekends and holidays.
