Position Summary:
The Virtual Sales Representative is responsible for leveraging virtual communication tools and strategies to drive sales and foster client relationships and initiatives in support of delivering exceptional service to Benshaw customers. Provide personalized sales support and assistance to address client inquiries or issues. Anticipate client needs and offer additional products or services that add value to their operations. Foundational commitment to employee core competency and organizational development, adherence to company code of conduct policies and overall business and personal integrity are required. This role must possess a “whatever it takes attitude” and is expected to work well with their peers as well as be able to effectively problem solve on their own.Primary Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  • Identify potential leads through online research, industry directories, and social media platforms.
  • Utilize virtual networking opportunities, such as webinars or online industry events, to expand the client base.
  • Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, and readiness to purchase.
Virtual Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
  • Conduct virtual sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations using video conferencing tools.
  • Showcase the features and benefits of electrical products or solutions, emphasizing how they meet the client's requirements.
  • Address any questions or concerns raised by clients during the virtual meetings.
Proposal Development and Negotiation:
  • Prepare and customize sales proposals or quotes based on the client's specifications and budget.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Handle objections and address client concerns to facilitate the sales process.
Relationship Building and Account Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and personalized interactions.
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to address client needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients.
Pipeline Management and Reporting:
  • Use CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and maintain an organized pipeline.
  • Update sales forecasts, report on progress against targets, and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports for management review and decision-making.
Continuous Learning and Professional Development:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in the electrical field.
  • Participate in virtual training sessions, webinars, and workshops to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Seek feedback from peers and supervisors to improve performance and achieve sales goals.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Provide feedback from clients to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.
Established Success Measures
  • Sales volume in accordance with annual operating plan targets
  • Order (booking) volume targets
  • Price quality targets in support of overall business profitability objectives
  • Customer net promoter improvement targets
Position Skill and Education Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support both internal and external individual and team engagement.

  • Requires strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
  • Detail orientated, independent self-starter.
  • Realized and / or ability to become proficient with ERP, CRM, email, word processing and related tools and systems.
