Description :The department is responsible for building the brand of Chautauqua Institution through excellence in storytelling, service, sales and support. We leverage data, technology and brand strategy to operate marketing, ticketing, sales, hospitality, cinema and online enterprises that exemplify and support the mission of Chautauqua Institution.About Your CompensationCompensation for this position is $15.00/Hour.About Your Work DayWrite, develop and manage creative and promotional content for Chautauqua’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.Assist in management of Chautauqua’s summer social media team across departments and programs.May be assigned general marketing video production and editing assignments.Actively listening to lectures, taking notes and publishing the content on various social media channels.May be assigned general communications assignments involving writing, media relations and/or community relations.Create and edit e-newsletters using the Mailchimp platformMay assist with the management of digital marketing.Track and respond to social media user comments in a timely manner.Monitor and update TripAdvisor and Google Local Business Accounts and monitor other digital business listings.Implement social media-based contests and other social engagement activities.Promote programs and other initiatives across the organization consistent with values espoused in 150 Forward, the 2019–28 strategic plan.About the Referral ProgramChautauqua Institution’s is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. Chautauqua Institution will provide a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees referring a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90-days from the first physical date of work. In the case of seasonal positions working less than 6-months, the new candidate must remain actively employed for at least 30-days from the first physical date of work and until the closing date of the season. The closing date of the season is the last Sunday in August.About Your ScheduleChautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement. While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:Will be scheduled to work an average of 37.5-hours/week. Scheduled hours are typically Monday through Friday, however, hours will include evenings, weekends, and holidays to cover events and activities.About Living on the GroundsChautauqua Institution may provide limited housing options on our grounds or assist you with locating nearby housing arrangements for select opportunities based on business needs. Housing is not an option for many positions and may be of a cost to you.
