As a part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., a highly decentralized organization, we rely heavily on people with the aptitude, attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit to drive our success, and we're committed to attracting and retaining top talent.Operates the Aluminum Wire Draw and the 19 Wire Stranding machines, and consistently meetsMarmon Utility’s quality and productivity requirements in a safe manner with minimum scrap.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS· Complies with company safety rules at all times during working hours and ensures the safety ofhimself/herself and others at his/her operating station.· Responsible in keeping equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.· Works in a professional manner, punctual and highly dependable.· Mechanically sets up both lines, pay-off through take-up operation, including installation ofappropriate tooling (dies) and all auxiliary line equipment needed to produce specified gauge sizes ofstranded conductor described by the process instructions.· Consistently monitors the supply of raw material to ensure a continuous operation.· Performs required measurements with company approved measuring devices to ensure final processmeets the required specifications (reference PC 034 and PC 025).· Verifies the measuring devices are calibrated.· Takes corrective action to ensure quality product.· Generate product identification tags for finished product and maintains accurate record keeping ofall pertinent information required by Marmon Utility, including work center line log.· Participates in scheduled team meetings and contributes to continuous improvement.· Participates in maintaining ISO certification.· Adheres to applicable System Level Procedures (SLP) and Process Controls (PC).· Follows production tracking report schedule.· E-3 (19 Wire) Strander· Visually inspects all empty take-up reels for proper size, strength, appearance and inside offlanges for foreign material/substance that could cause damage to the finished productproduced.· Operates the take-up machine and puts up a neat looking reel free of crossovers/loops.· Welds wire to maintain spool-to-spool operation.· D-3 Aluminum Wire Draw · Welds rod to maintain rod-to-rod operation. · Monitors solution (Annealer) and die lubricating levels to ensure smooth operationEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS· Understanding of the basic line operation and line components associated with the process.· Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry.· Operation of the pay-off and take-up equipment.· ISO requirements pertaining to the lines.· Selection and installation of gears and dies.· Internal/industry codes and abbreviations used to identify conductors and wires.· Principals of welding.· Identification and tagging of finished product.· Willingness to accept direction.· Willingness to work in a Team structureFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
