At LCRA, we are seeking skilled Technicians for Construction oversight and eventual Operations & Maintenance for LCRA's peaking power plant! This peaking plant will consist of Wartsila 18V50SG reciprocating engines. This role will have the outstanding opportunity to be responsible for contractor activities during construction and commissioning of the new power plant. This knowledge and experience will be helpful for your efforts in operating and maintaining the facility after commissioning. - Communicate between Contractors, Engineering, and fellow LCRA Teammates
- Work closely with construction team to identify and communicate any issues
- Maintain time management skills
- Use basic digital literacy for communications, training, and administrative duties
- Utilize a technical skill set (mechanic, electrician, I&C) for maintenance duties
- Operate heavy equipment not limited to forklifts, manlifts, skid steers, etc.
- Operate engineered systems for power productionYou qualify with:- Positions located in power plants: Six or more years of experience in power plant operations or power plant maintenance, or other relevant experience, including two or more years in the craft discipline in the assigned area of specialty.
- Positions located at Smithville Railcar Facility:
- Six or more years of experience in industrial maintenance or fabrication, including two or more years in the craft discipline in the assigned area of specialty or relevant experience.
- Driver's licenseYou are a great fit with:- Experience in operating and maintaining a reciprocating internal combustion engines
- Experience in maintenance planning principles, including work package development and PM development
- Experience in non-destructive examination (NDE), oil analysis, vibration analysis, thermography, transformer testing, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and other applicable PdM tools
- Experience with Maximo
- Experience with staging of parts and tools
