- Proactively serve as a point of contact to global operations providing appropriate advice for claim reporting, budget, premium allocations, COIs management, and general insurance questions.
- Prepare Insurance Premium Projections for global budgets and forecasts.
- Lead US based Workers’ Compensation claims management including litigation and state self-insurance.
- Lead global broker engagement and US claims management providers.
- Coordinate and collect needed exposure data from all affiliates for insurance renewals, actuarial study, and budget allocations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance coverages and methods of allocation for each line of coverage to accurately distribute and clarify budget and premiums allocations to affiliates.
- Analyze “Insurance Requirements” in various agreements and contracts, including Procurement, and Services and confirm compliance.
- Attend and coordinate property site inspections with insurance representatives and site personnel.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of core insurance coverage forms and principles.
- Support Head of Risk Management and Insurance with various special projects, analysis and other duties as required.
- Initiate projects with brokers/carriers that will reduce risk and/or reduce premiums.
- Excellent PC skills – emphasis on MS Office Excel (medium to advanced level).
- Understanding of insurance and risk management basic concepts and theories.
- Fluent in insurance processes and ability to drive results by influencing other key players in the process.
- Strong analytical skills with problem solving abilities.
- High degree of self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and ambition to grow and learn constantly is of critical importance.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to establish rapport & interact positively with interdisciplinary teams, both internal and external.
- Detail oriented with ability to maintain focus through completion of projects.
- Able to work independently and with minor supervision.
- Comfortable analyzing and working with numbers and spreadsheets.
- Ability to present quantitative and qualitative information to a variety of audiences.
- Undergraduate degree (focus on risk management, business, or finance preferred) or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in either Risk Management or Claims Management or at a broker/carrier. Treasury/Finance experience may be considered in lieu of risk experience.
- Existing ARM Certification or intent to pursue certification is preferred.
