Women's Health Physical Therapist - Part Time (CO)
The Healing Spot Physical Therapy
- Colorado Springs, CO
- $30.00 per hour
- Permanent
- Part-time
- Are you tired of treating back-to-back patients without sufficient time for documentation, left to try to write your notes on your lunch break or on your own time, LEAVING YOU FEELING EXHAUSTED at the end of every day?
- Do you love working with Pelvic Floor Women’s Health patients but you’re STUCK WORKING IN A GENERAL orthopedic clinic, where you’re only seeing Women’s Health issues once in a while?
- Do you long to have the AUTONOMY to treat patients in a HOLISTIC WAY, which may include physical and energetic healing?
- Do you have great MANUAL THERAPY SKILLS that you want to use, but feel like your hands are tied because your current employer limits how many units of manual therapy you are "allowed" to charge?
- If this sounds like what you’re looking for, we have a Physical Therapist position YOU WILL LOVE!
- A part-time Physical Therapist position (10 hours/week), with potential to work up to a full-time position, if you desire, depending on your success and growth.
- A clinic where you will be satisfied with our slower pace than a typical in-network or PT Mill clinic while providing the highest quality of care. If you have some experience in recommending and selling a full plan of care to your patients then you will be right at home here. If you don’t have experience with this but you have a willingness to learn it, then we welcome you to apply.
- Collaboration with an experienced pelvic floor PT who absolutely loves treating patients in a holistic way. The owner, Justine, loves learning and talking about all things pelvic floor and women’s health related so if that sounds like you, we can geek out together!
- If you’re looking for a mentor because you have little to no experience in pelvic floor or women’s health PT, this position is not the right fit for you. Because we have a waitlist of 6-8 weeks, we are looking for an experienced therapist who can jump right into managing their own caseload (keeping the patients they evaluate, no delegating to PTAs) after an orientation to our policies, our systems, and our team.
- A PT clinic that is structured where you will treat one patient at a time in a private treatment room, for FULL 60 minute sessions, 15 minutes PAID time between patients for documentation and a maximum of 7-8 patients daily (your choice). This will ensure you can give your best and still feel good at the end of your day.
- A clinic where patients show up for consultations and evals informed that you can help, knowing what to expect and already been screened to be an ideal candidate to receive our services.
- Have complete focus on the patient and ability to guide them to their desired outcome using our services. You’ll get to use your talents, knowledge, passion and unique personality to make a difference in people’s lives every day.
- Because we are a 100% cash-based practice, our patients are fully invested in their care and follow through with recommendations at home.
- Go home feeling energized because of the impact you truly made on your clients, being surrounded day in and day out by a fun and supportive team.
- Be part of a team that includes experienced business professionals who understand our unique customer experience. We work together to improve upon the delivery of our services so that our patients are happy to work with us and choose us for their healthcare.
- Feel empowered to help people make good decisions about their health in a way that they will thank you.
- Get the opportunity to be a part of a compassion-filled practice that is changing the way things are done in healthcare. No more big corporations, massive hospital systems, or healthcare agencies, or dealing with Medicare reimbursement.
- Raise awareness to our potential patients of how we can help them and inform new patients of what to expect as they start treatment. These systems are already established and we will be beside you to show you how it’s done. Don’t worry if you haven’t done anything like this before (we know a lot of PTs haven’t!) but if you’re not afraid to put yourself out there we think you’ll have fun in the process.
- You are an experienced and confident Women’s Health Pelvic Floor PT with experience working with prenatal and postpartum patients, with a strong orthopedic background (particularly when it comes to providing pain relief of the spine, head and hips; we turn away ankle, knee, shoulder, elbow and hand patients to focus on our niche audience). Please do NOT apply to this job if you do not have experience in these areas.
- You are open to selling cash-based services and recommending plans of care that people will be paying out-of-pocket for. Please do not apply if you dislike educating patients about their plan of care and the commitment involved and have no desire to learn this.
- You have a creative side. You love to teach and you have a desire to educate about pelvic floor health as it relates to pregnancy and postpartum care.
- You DON’T want to work in a PT Mill and are looking to have a healthy work-life balance; you don't want to go home exhausted and frustrated every day.
- You want time to document your clinical notes between patients, when it’s fresh in your mind. You have good time management skills and if you were given 15 minutes between patients to write a SOAP Note or Eval Note you know that would make a HUGE difference in your ability to walk out at the end of your day, knowing you had all your work completed.
- You want to work in an established, fully cash-based physical therapy practice that has a very positive reputation in the community, so you can spend time truly developing relationships with clients, not paper-shuffling or dealing with insurance/Medicare approval.
- You want longer treatment sessions - all our sessions are 60 minutes with time in between to document notes, catch a breath or take a breather.
- You read the owner’s bio (
- You are proficient in being able to Assess and Treat diagnoses such as prolapse, diastasis, incontinence, postpartum and pregnancy pain. You can recommend an appropriate Plan of Care, including a prognosis and projected timeline in order to reach a particular outcome or goal of the patient. You know it doesn’t have to be perfect, but you know you can do it because you’ve done it before.
