- Safely operate a manual or automatic transmission truck in on-road and some residential off-road conditions, in all types of weather.
- Perform daily DOT safety inspections of unit to certify safe operating condition of all equipment before and after shift.
- Effectively utilize a Windows tablet with company delivery order software
- Operate truck pump and meter system to load and deliver propane.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all product inventory and billed services.
- Maintain positive relationships with our customers and look for opportunities to offer our products and services to new customers.
- Occasional yard maintenance and office upkeep
- Annual training (PERC) and other continuing training
- Truck/equipment maintenance projects
- Assist office with paperwork reviews and customer account updates as needed.
- Minimum HS Diploma or GED
- CDL class A or B with clean driving record. Hazmat, Tanker, Manual Transmission, and Air Brake endorsements required.
- Five (5) years CDL driving experience preferred, minimum two (2) years required.
- Minimum one (1) year Hazmat bulk liquid driving experience is required (Oil, Refined Fuels, Chemical or equivalent)
- Experience with propane/LNG bulk delivery preferred but not required.
- Experience with mountain driving in all weather conditions preferred.
- Safely maneuver a large vehicle at all speeds and directions in a variety of situations, including inclement weather, night conditions, heavy traffic, backing with mirrors, and through tight spaces
- Sufficient mechanical ability to diagnose/repair basic problems with unit or equipment using hand tools, and ability to relay pertinent problem/repair information to fleet manager for further assistance.
- Basic Windows computer fluency, and ability to use Microsoft Outlook email, and either an Android or Apple company phone.
- Critical Thinking Skills: When confronting a problem, a willingness to ask questions, gather relevant information, think through solutions and conclusions, consider other options, and make decisions based on the results.
- Situational Awareness: Knowing where you are and what is going on around you, staying alert and informed as your environment changes, and making decisions based on that information.
- Problem Solving: Must utilize facts and experience to resolve problems, in some cases without the immediate assistance of others.
- Considerable physical exertion.
- Strenuous - lifting of 75 Pounds or more.
- Safely navigate uneven ground on foot, including in rain, mud, snow, and ice.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and stretching,
- Pulling out up to 150 feet of fuel hose,
- Frequent climbing in and out of truck,
- Pushing/pulling of other equipment/objects as required
